Woman Robbed at Merkur Slots in Southampton, Police Appeal for Information

A woman in her 40s was robbed at Merkur Slots, Above Bar Street, in Southampton, in the early hours 26 February. The incident happened at around 12:15am when an unknown man approached the female and asked her to exchange notes. He then attempted to snatch the money from her hand, causing a minor injury to the victim.

The suspect then tried to take the money again outside the venue before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim described the suspect as being around 5ft 5ins with a skinny to medium build, black curly hair, and a dark beard. He was wearing a black beanie hat, a dark coat with a pink hoody underneath, jeans, and brown shoes.

Hampshire police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. They are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or has information that could assist in their investigation to come forward.
