Woman in critical condition and two men charged following assault

Police have charged two men in connection with an assault in Eastleigh that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.  

At around 2:20am on Sunday 30 October, police were called after reports two people had suffered injuries following an assault on Leigh Road.

The victims, a man and a woman in their 20s, both suffered injuries, with the woman remaining in hospital in a critical condition.

A third victim was located following officer enquiries and he sustained facial injuries. 

Following investigations, police yesterday (31 October) charged two local men.

Jack Limburn, 27, of Fair Oak Road, has been charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

Jake Paul George Lucas, 27, of Samuel Jarvis Avenue, also Fair Oak, has been charged with assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and section 18 – wounding with intent.

Both have been remanded to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today.
