Woman Charged with Attempted Murder After Disturbing Incident Near Cobden Bridge

A 31 year old woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following a disturbing incident near Cobden Bridge in Southampton. The incident unfolded on Thursday, 26 October.

The police were alerted to the situation at 3:38pm when reports came in that a woman had entered the water near Cobden Bridge, accompanied by two young children. Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, and fortunately, all three individuals were recovered from the water and provided with the necessary medical treatment.

The accused, identified as Rhonda Micetich from Argyle Road in Southampton, now faces charges of attempted murder. Rhonda Micetich appeared before Southampton Magistrates Court today, 04 November, and has been remanded into custody as legal proceedings progress.

The case is set to take a more significant turn, as Rhonda Micetich is scheduled to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Friday, 01 December.
