Witnesses Sought in Eastleigh Robbery: Man Threatened with knife and Van Stolen

Police are appealing for witnesses following a recent robbery incident that occurred in Eastleigh over the weekend. On Sunday, 10 September, at approximately 1:30pm, a man in his 50s was subjected to a harrowing ordeal when he was threatened with a knife on The Crescent. Fortunately, the victim was not physically harmed, but his van was taken by the assailants.

The police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident, and officers are actively conducting enquiries in the area.

Two arrests have been made in connection with the case. A 49 year old man from Hedge End has been taken into custody on suspicion of multiple offences, including theft of a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by a constable/traffic warden, robbery, going equipped for burglary, driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs and being in charge of a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit. Additionally, a 34 year old man from Botley has also been arrested on suspicion of robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without third-party insurance, and driving without a valid licence. Both suspects have been released on conditional police bail pending further investigation.
