WATCH: BMW Driver decides to use footpath to skip traffic by school

At 4:52pm today, the driver of a grey BMW decided that instead of waiting for the lights to change, he/she would drive along the footpath of Bursledon Road, before turning left into Hinkler Road.

Those local to the area will know how close this path is to the entrance of Springwell school.  

The incident was caught on another motorist’s dash-cam. The driver of that vehicle explained that just 30 minutes later, on their return journey, there was a pregnant lady with a young lad running ahead going around that corner the other way. 

It’s a relief that no one was injured and we can but hope justice is served sooner rather than later.
