VIDEO: Thief caught on CCTV taking items from a car

From messages we’ve received today, it seems that not everyone had a relaxing, long weekend.

Shortly before 3am today, a thief was caught on CCTV trying to gain access to a number of vehicles. This happened in Eden Road, in the Chartwell Green area.

Unfortunately, he did have some success, and was able to take items from the boot of at least one car. The items taken were:

Edge Tech tool bag full of tools 

Bright yellow The North Face duffel bag, small size. This contained an orange high vis jacket with Ocean Infinity branding 

Another orange high vis Helly Hanson jacket. 

Manfrotto be free tripod.

The owner wasn’t able to catch the thief, but did appear to scare him off. Police were alerted to the incident and attended within 30 minutes. They also sent a dog unit to check the area.
