Vehicle driven into two woman, man arrested

Police have charged a 31 year old male with a number of offences following a serious assault on Southampton Road, Eastleigh.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, 5 April, it’s alleged that a man drove his vehicle deliberately into two females. This incident happened at the Texaco garage.

The male concerned has been named as Richard Stuart Taylor, of no fixed abode. He’s been charged with attempted GBH with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, possessing a bladed article in a public place and dangerous driving.

Taylor appeared in court this morning and was further remanded. He will appear in Southampton Magistrates on Monday 9 May.
