Two arrested for failing to stop after an accident

Police have confirmed they have arrested a 24 year old man and a 23 year old woman, both from Rownhams, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident.

The incident happened at 12:13am this morning (8 May 22).  The police were called after reports that a car travelling on Commercial Road, had collided with a cyclist.

A 17 year old boy suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The police investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this, or captured the car, a blue Ford Kuga, on their dash cam.
