Two arrested after Eastleigh stabbing

A serious assault occurred this evening, Sunday, 21 July, in Eastleigh, resulting in the hospitalisation of a young man and the arrest of two suspects.

At approximately 7.38pm, emergency services were called to a residential address on Twyford Road following reports of a stabbing. A man in his 20s was found with serious injuries and was swiftly taken to the hospital for treatment.

The police have arrested two individuals in connection with the incident. A 41 year old man from Southampton is being held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, while a 47 year old man from Eastleigh has been detained on suspicion of attempted murder. Both suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.

The police have assured the public that this is believed to be an isolated incident, with no broader threat to community safety.
