Tools theft from van in SO18, taking away man’s livelihood

We wanted to share an appeal for information following a theft that took place around 1am this morning, 8 June.

The victim of the theft is an extremely hard working man, and his work van was broken into. Many tools were stolen, which will clearly impact on his ability to work.

The theft took place in Duddon Close, which is in the Townhill/West End area. This close is located at the bottom of the steep hill on Townhill Way.

Items taken from the van include;

Makita battery’s, Makita skillsaw, Makita angle Grinder, Makita drills, Makita disc cutter, cordless and corded Makita planer, Paslode nail gun, Dewalt drill, Dewalt sds drill and a Stihl cutter saw 

As you can imagine, the van owner is devastated. He’s also understandably keen to see the tools returned.

Do you live in the area and have access to any footage that could be checked from around 1am this morning? Did you witness any suspicious activity at that time? Have you seen tools being advertised online fitting the description?
