Three men remain in custody as Southampton murder investigation continues

Three men remain in custody as the investigation into the murder of 64 year old Mark Noke continues. Mr Noke was found with a stab wound to his chest at his home in Warburton Road, Thornhill, in the early hours of Saturday, (25 February).

On Tuesday morning, three men aged 20, 23, and 31 were arrested at addresses in International Way and Bursledon Road in Southampton on suspicion of Mr Noke’s murder. On Wednesday morning, an extension was granted to keep the three men in custody, and on Thursday afternoon, another extension was granted, giving police 31 more hours to question the suspects.

Detective Inspector Howard Broadribb, the senior investigating officer, stated that the investigation was “sprawling” and that officers and staff continue to work through a large number of inquiries. The witness appeal remains ongoing, and anyone with information or footage that could help the investigation is urged to come forward and contact the police.

The mobile police station remains in Warburton Road throughout the weekend, and officers continue to patrol the area. Residents are encouraged to approach officers with any concerns they may have.

The investigation into Mr Noke’s murder is ongoing, and police have stated that they will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
