Three Men Charged in Connection with Attempted Burglary in Southampton

In a swift response to a reported attempted burglary, Southampton police officers arrested three individuals, all of whom have now been charged in connection with the incident. The incident unfolded on Wednesday, 27 September, at approximately 4:33am, when police were alerted to suspicious activity at an address on Shirley Road.

The three suspects arrested have been identified as Astrit Prenga, aged 45, residing in Bourne Hill, Enfield; Aldi Qardaku, aged 21, with no fixed abode; and Arbev Qypi, aged 33, residing in First Avenue, Wembley. They are facing charges of attempted dwelling burglary and going equipped for burglary.

The trio are scheduled to make their first appearance in Southampton Magistrates Court later today, Friday, 29 September, to answer for the charges brought against them.

In a related development, the police have also uncovered what appears to be a suspected cannabis factory at the same address. The investigation into this discovery is currently ongoing, with officers working to gather more information.
