Teenagers Charged with Multiple Shoplifting Offences in Eastleigh and Hedge End

Two teenage boys from Eastleigh have been charged with multiple shoplifting offences in the Eastleigh and Hedge End areas. The arrests took place following investigations into incidents at various stores.

One of the teenagers, from Eastleigh, was apprehended on High Street, West End at 5pm last Tuesday. He now faces charges related to four shoplifting incidents, all reported to have occurred on the 25 and 28 October. The targeted stores include Tesco in St Lukes Close, Hedge End, and Co-op in Leigh Road, Eastleigh.

The second teenager, also from Eastleigh, was arrested in Upper Market Street, Eastleigh at 1:20pm yesterday. Charges have been filed against him for three shoplifting offences, reported to have taken place on the same dates in October. The affected stores include Tesco in St Lukes Close, Hedge End, and Sainsbury’s in Tollbar Way, Hedge End.

Both teenagers have been released on conditional bail and are scheduled to appear before Southampton Youth Court on Monday, 4 December. The incidents highlight the ongoing challenges faced by local businesses in combating theft.
