Teenager assaulted outside Taco Bell by two men

Police in Southampton are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault against a teenager in the Hanover Buildings area on Monday (13 March).

The victim, a 17 year old boy, was reportedly approached by two men wearing balaclavas outside Taco Bell between 4pm and 4.30pm. The men are said to have engaged in a brief conversation with the victim before the teenager was allegedly assaulted, resulting in facial injuries.

A passer-by intervened in the alleged assault and administered first aid to the victim near a bus stop. However, they did not provide any details before leaving the scene.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to trace the person who came to the aid of the victim as they may hold significant information pertinent to the investigation. They are urging anyone with information to come forward and speak with them.

The police are also appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the assault or have CCTV/dash-cam footage that may be relevant to the investigation.
