Successful Operation Leads to Three Arrests in Totton: Proactive Drugs Warrant Executed

Three individuals were arrested following the execution of a drugs warrant in Chaffinch Close, Totton, on Wednesday, 18 October. The operation, conducted by officers from the Totton Neighbourhood Policing Team, with the support of method of entry officers and a dog unit, resulted in the apprehension of two Totton residents, a 42 year old man, and a 38 year old woman, as well as a 42 year old man from Marchwood.

These individuals were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of a Class A drug. Substantial evidence was seized during the operation, including suspected Class A drugs, mobile phones, and drug paraphernalia.

The warrant was executed at 2:30pm, underscoring the dedication of the police in their commitment to ensuring the safety of the community.

While the suspects were released from custody earlier today, 19 October, they remain under investigation, pending further enquiries.

New Forest East Inspector, Linda Davies, commended the efforts of her team, stating, “What we saw yesterday was an example of exceptional local policing. This was a really positive operation by our teams and certainly won’t be our last. We have taken more illegal drugs off the streets and will continue to deal with those dealing, possessing, and using illegal drugs.”

Inspector Davies further emphasised the importance of community involvement, saying, “Drug-related activity will not be tolerated in our communities. Warrants, such as this one, are just one of the ways we can tackle the problem. We will continue to relentlessly pursue and deal with those who are causing harm in our towns.”

She also urged the public to cooperate with the police, stating, “As we always say, we can only do what we do with the support and help of the community itself. The information we receive from the public is vital to us being able to carry out warrants and tackle illegal activity across Totton and the New Forest.”
