Southampton Police Seek Community Help in Investigation of Stolen Cars and Property Damage

The police are requesting the community’s assistance in investigating several incidents involving stolen cars being driven around and causing damage to barriers and bollards in the Millbrook, Coxford, and Lordshill area. The incidents occurred between 11:00pm yesterday (20 and 21 March) and 2:00am today (22 March) with most of the damage being done on the footpaths between Sinclair School and Lordshill District Centre.

They have put a planned response in place and are urging the public to report any suspicious activity. The police have noted that there are many social media posts and pictures circulating on various Facebook groups. However, the information reported on social media does not accurately reflect what they have been told. The police have therefore requested that the community report incidents to them directly.

They are asking residents to report any suspicious vehicles driving around the area, and to report anyone acting suspiciously around parked vehicles or residential properties after dark. In order to help the police, they are asking residents to provide as much detail as possible, including the registration plate number, a description of the drivers and passengers, and the direction they were heading.

If the incident is happening in front of you, you are urged to call 999. If you have any information about the incidents, you can call 101 or make an online report through the police website. You can also report anonymously via Crimestoppers. The reference number for this case is 44230112249.
