Southampton man charged with three counts of assault after incident at a Lymington pub

Police arrested two men following reports that a staff member was assaulted at a Lymington pub.

The staff member suffered injuries to his face and hand, following the alleged assault at the King’s Arms Pub, St. Thomas Street in Lymington. The incident took place at around 8.30pm on Saturday 25 June.

McCauley Thomas Douglas, 22, of Darwin Road in Southampton was charged with two counts of assault and one count of assaulting an emergency worker.

He was released on bail by the courts, and is due to attend Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday 25 August.

A 25-year-old man from Marchwood was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, but was later released and issued with a conditional caution.
