Recent Antisocial Motorcycle Behaviour Sparks Concern in Eastleigh

In recent weeks, the Eastleigh area has experienced a surge in antisocial behaviour involving people on motorcycles, prompting concerns among local residents and the police. The incidents, which have been the subject of ongoing investigations, have raised questions about public safety and the potential involvement of stolen motorcycles.

The Eastleigh Neighbourhood Policing Team is at the forefront of efforts to address these issues. Inspector Andrew Mooge expressed his concerns, stating, “This type of behaviour can have a serious, detrimental impact upon our local communities. We won’t tolerate it, and we will be doing everything we can to identify and deal with those responsible.”

Community involvement is crucial in tackling such problems effectively. Inspector Mooge emphasised the need for residents to report any sightings of the group engaged in these activities. He urged the public to provide information about where and when these incidents are occurring, as this information is vital for the police to take action.

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has provided multiple avenues for reporting these incidents. Residents can call 101, report online via the Constabulary website, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.

To shed light on the situation and aid in identifying those involved, the police have released an image taken from CCTV camera footage, showcasing some of the group’s recent activity. Residents are encouraged to contact the police if they witness similar incidents or recognise any individuals in the image.

In the face of these challenges, Eastleigh residents are reminded that their vigilance and willingness to report incidents can play a pivotal role in maintaining the peace and security of their neighbourhoods.
