Pregnant woman shot with BB gun

Police are appealing for witnesses after a lady was shot at with a BB-type gun. This happened at Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley.

Information provided by way of a police appeal confirm that the incident occurred just after 1pm yesterday, 21st February. The lady, who is 27 weeks pregnant, was shot at twice, with both bullets hitting her; one on her hip and the other near her stomach.

Teenagers were spotted in the bushes at the time, but fled the scene. One is described as being around 15 years old, wearing a dark tracksuit and a hoody.

Over the past couple of months we’ve reported on a couple of incidents involving BB Pellets, with a family home also having been targeted in Merryoak. So if your kids have these “toys”, you need to explain the danger of using them.
