Police Crack Down on Drug Activity in Southampton East Neighbourhoods: 16-Year-Old Girl Arrested

Southampton East Neighbourhoods saw a flurry of police activity yesterday, as officers in plain clothes targeted hotspots for drug activity in the Thornhill and Sholing areas. Their efforts resulted in significant developments for community safety.

During their patrols, officers encountered a group of youths, leading to subsequent stops and searches. Among them, a 16 year old female was found in possession of knuckle dusters, and she went on to assault one of the officers. Consequently, she was promptly arrested to assist with ongoing investigations.

In the evening, officers conducted another stop search that led to the discovery of suspected drugs on an individual. This discovery prompted a wider investigation that included the search of two different addresses.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and cooperative with the police as they work to ensure a safer and more secure environment.
