Police Arrest Two Teenagers in Totton After Discovery of BB Gun and Drugs

In a recent incident on Sunday, 08 October, at approximately 8:20pm, armed response officers were dispatched to War Memorial Car Park on Salisbury Road in Totton following a report of a group in possession of a suspected offensive weapon.

Upon their arrival, officers located and subsequently seized a BB gun. Further investigations led to the arrest of two 17 year old boys, both residents of Totton. One was arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm in a public place, while the other was taken into custody on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

Additionally, during the operation, officers confiscated cannabis, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a mobile phone from those present at the scene. Both of the detained teenagers are currently in police custody, and the investigation into this incident remains ongoing.

The police have reiterated the importance of community members being vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities. They encourage residents to use the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website or call 101 for non-emergency situations. In cases of emergency or when a crime is in progress, residents are urged to dial 999 immediately.
