Police arrest man for Rape – Riverside Park

You may have seen that an area of Riverside Park has been cordoned off by the police.

The police were called at 11:24pm, 8 March, after a report of a rape against an 18-year-old woman earlier that evening.

The police have now arrested a man in connection with the incident. The 25 year old remains in custody. 

Police have also confirmed that the lady continues to be supported by specialist officers, and our thoughts are with her.
