Police and Council continue work to decrease ASB in Sholing

It was good to learn that the Police and local Council took note of several reports of anti social behaviour involving motorbikes in and around the Sholing area.

Collaboratively, Police and representatives from the Council were actively out and about speaking to residents. Those who were not around were left surveys to complete.

Particular areas focussed on were Montague Avenue and Sullivan Road Rec, not least because of the continued reported nuisance.

On the back of the visit, it’s likely now that conversations will be had, with a plan of action being put in place. These things don’t happen overnight, but nonetheless it’s refreshing to see some presence around the area.

Police have urged the public to continue reporting incidents of anti social behaviour. Resources permitting, they will deploy to the areas concerned, although it has to be respected that this may not be possible all of the time. So, whilst reporting may not always result in immediate action, it certainly does help build a good case for heightened presence in hot spots.

If you witness anything and have phone, CCTV and/or dashcam footage, the Police would also welcome receiving that. Information can be passed anonymously.
