Pair arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs

Two people from out of the area have been arrested in respect of drug offences. The arrests were made near to Eastleigh.

Officers were driving on the M3 Southbound carriageway near Eastleigh when they spotted a VW Polo being driven suspiciously. They chose to stop the vehicle and carried out a search.

On searching the passengers and the car, police found a quantity of class A drugs and cash. Other drug related items were also found and everything was seized as evidence.

The driver of the vehicle was a 22 year old male from Buckinghamshire. He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.  He was also arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs.

The passenger in the car was a 19 year old female from Northamptonshire. She was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

Both the male and female have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
