Names released after knifepoint robbery

We published a story following a robbery that took place in Hythe on Sunday evening, 10 July. Police have now provided an update.

As reported, arrests were made in Marchwood following the incident at the Tesco Express store on Langdown Lawn, Hythe. Three people have now been charged as follows;

Shaun Havard, aged 35, of no fixed abode has been charged with robbery and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place. He has been remanded until Friday 12 August.

Paul Hughes, aged 41, of Golden Grove in Southampton and Catherine Goodwin, aged 45, of Maritime Avenue in Marchwood have both been charged with robbery. They have both been released on conditional bail.

All three named are next due in court on Friday 12 August.

A 60-year-old man was also among those arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit robbery. However, he’s been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
