Multiple thefts and attempted break ins through the night

Last night there were a fair few issues across a number of our estates.

You may have seen earlier that we reported an attempted van break in in Millbrook.  Since then, but in different areas of the city, we’ve been advised of a burglary from a garage, and an attempted house burglary.

Around 1:30am in Upper Deacon Road, SO19, a man broke into a garage and stole a Brown Carrera bike with white detail.  The man was caught on CCTV riding his bike; he stopped at the back of the victims house, jumped the wall and accessed the Garage, taking the Carrera and placing it over the fence.  He then proceeded to ride off on the stolen bike, leaving his own, lower value bike behind.

We’ve included an image of the bike and the suspect who managed to steal it.  Do you recognise this man? If you do, please call 101 or message the page in confidence and we will pass it on.

The second incident happened at 2:40am this morning. A group of salads on motorbikes stopped outside a house on Hinkler Road and attempted to gain access to the property.  Thankfully on this occasion they were unsuccessful. However, this will obviously have caused a lot of worry to the owners of the property.

They were caught on a Ring doorbell. Unfortunately though, it’s not clear enough to identify them. The group are suspected to have been teenagers, or in their early twenties.  Has anyone else got any CCTV in the area? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Call 101with any information that can help catch those responsible.
