Man charged after threatening another with an imitation firearm

Following an incident in Totton last week, a local man has been remanded in custody pending a Crown Court appearance.

On Thursday last week, 2 June, a man was threatened with an imitation firearm. This happened around 9:35pm at a property in Calmore Drive.

Last night, 5 June, 48 year old Glenn Martin Jones (of Calmore Drive) was charged with possession of an imitation firearm in a public place. He was also charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence, and possession of a Class B drug.

Jones is due to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Friday 8 July.
