Local shopkeeper seeks help identifying forgetful duo

A local shopkeeper is seeking the community’s assistance in tracking down a woman and a man who left her shop without paying for an item. The unusual twist to this story is that the duo seemed to be so preoccupied with their own thoughts that they accidentally abandoned each other as well.

The incident unfolded in the shop, Farplace, an animal rescue shop situated on Victoria Road in Woolston, when a woman reportedly left the store without paying for an item she had in her possession. Her absent-mindedness was said to be truly remarkable.

However, what makes this tale even more intriguing is that her male companion was similarly distracted. It is claimed that it took him almost a full minute to realise that he had been left behind in the store, at which point he, too, exited the premises.

The shopkeeper, who runs the store for a charitable cause, is now appealing to the woman in question to either pay for the item she took or return it. She assures that no further action will be taken if the matter is resolved amicably.

In a statement, the shopkeeper stated, “All light-heartedness aside, I am committed to drawing attention to those who cause issues or steal from my shop, which supports a charity close to my heart.”

The shopkeeper expressed her gratitude to a conscientious customer who brought this incident to her attention. The community now waits to see if the forgetful duo will come forward to settle the matter or if further steps will be taken to identify them.
