Group with knife and balaclavas harass girl in bullying incident

At around 9:30pm yesterday evening, 15 August, a group of youngsters spent their time bullying a girl. She’d simply gone to get food from a local fast food outlet in the Montague Avenue area of Sholing.

Whilst she was in the shop, and after leaving, the group, cowardly wearing balaclavas, abused the girl verbally, whilst also throwing eggs at her.

One of the culprits, a boy, was carrying a knife, and one of the more vocal in the group was a girl.

The victim ran back to the house of her friends where she was staying, clearly very shaken up and scared.

If you have children that hang around that area and they were out last night, perhaps ask if they witnessed anything. Nobody should be leaving the house with a knife; there have already been too many incidents. Equally, people should be able to leave their property and walk down the street without having to face unprovoked abuse.
