Drug bust in SO19

From social media posts and news stories, it seems that police in and around the city are having some success when it comes to tackling drug related crime. Today, they shared news of another ‘find’; this time in Woolston.

A warrant was executed at a property yesterday morning in Fort Road, which links Portsmouth Road and Porchester Road. Inside, around 100 cannabis plants were found.

All plants were seized, and an operation is underway to dismantle the infrastructure that was in place to cultivate the plants.

A 32 year old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating a Class B drug, cannabis. However, he was released with no further action to be taken.
