Dispersal order issued in Millbrook

Southampton Cops today have confirmed they have put in place a dispersal order covering an area that surrounds Mansel Park, including WIndermere Avenue and Kendal Avenue.

A dispersal order is a tool the police use to help tackle anti-social behaviour.  The order went live at 3pm today and will remain in place for at least 48 hours.

Due to reports of groups of young people congregating around Millbrook Towers causing damage, the police have taken the necessary steps to try and improve the quality of life of the residents in the area.

What is a dispersal order? It gives the police the power to seize anything used in the commission of anti-social behaviour and be able to remove anyone from the area under section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

You should see an increase in police presence, by way of extra patrols, they will be happy to take any information you may have, so feel free to stop and chat, alternatively call 101 or report any information online.
