Devastating and sickening – family pet killed

A Bursledon based couple have been left stunned and devastated after their pet Rabbit, Tommy, was sickeningly killed.

The incident happened yesterday between 12:45 and 14:30 in the area of Providence  Hill. The owner returned home to find Tommy in an awful state having had his head and tail removed.

Initial thoughts were that a fox or other animal could have been the cause. However, having been examined by a vet, it has been confirmed that the cause was a clean, sharp blade; thus a deliberate act.

There are no words for this incident, but needless to say, owners Kerry and Tom really are understandably shocked and upset.

This is such a heart breaking story to publish, and thoughts are with both Kerry and Tom. They’re fearful now that they know someone has gained access to the rear of their house to carry out this attack, and are keen for others to be vigilant.

If you do live in the area, or were in the area at the time, please can you check any available CCTV or dashcam footage.
