Couple assaulted by three teenagers in Southampton park

Police have put out an appeal after a couple were assaulted yesterday evening, 9 May. They’d like to hear from anyone who can help further with their enquiries.

The assault took place in Palmerston Park shortly after 8:15pm. One victim was a 17 year old male who was left with cuts and bruises. The other victim was an 18 year old female who was left with pain to her jaw.

It’s said that there were three attackers. They followed the couple across the park and carried out the attack. The couple were heading in the direction of New Road.

Descriptions of the trio of males are;

1)Aged 16-18, 5ft 8ins tall, black, medium build and very short hair. He was wearing all black clothing

2) Aged 16-17, 5ft 6ins tall, white, medium build and blonde/brown hair in braids. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, and a black balaclava covering his mouth

3) Aged 16, 5ft 5ins to 5ft 6ins tall, mixed race and of a larger build. He was wearing a khaki green Puma tracksuit with the hood up
