Children threatened with a knife

A concerned local resident has put out a plea to all parents following an incident yesterday, Saturday 2 April.

Some youngsters (10-12 years old) were happily playing in the Peartree area of SO19 when they were approached by some older kids. The youngsters were asked to hand over the contents of their pockets and bags. 

On saying no to their demands, one of the younger children was struck. Another was faced with a knife, but was able to turn and run from the scene.

This shocking incident happened around lunchtime so in broad daylight. Clearly the group of boys have zero understanding of right and wrong and should be educated ASAP.

The police have been made aware and they have video evidence of the culprits. However, if you have any further information please contact the police on 101.
