Boy has his bike stolen in distraction robbery at Sports Centre

At 6pm yesterday, 18 May, a young lad (14) had his pride and joy mountain bike stolen from him whilst out at Southampton Sports Centre.

The culprits of the theft were two males, thought to be slightly older, perhaps 15-17. Initially, they were chatting freely to the bike owner, seemingly interested and knowledgable about the bike. They left for a short time, returned, distracted the owner and then made off with it. It’s also said that one of the names mentioned during conversation was James, but we cannot confirm this for certain.

It goes without saying that the young lad is upset that the bike was taken, and would love to have it returned. The spec is;

GT Agressor, XC2
WTB wheels
Previously converted to single speed jump bike.
