CrimeSO19

Bank card and child’s tablet amongst items taken from car in SO19

Overnight a resident of Firtree Way (SO19) received an unwanted visitor to their vehicle, and a number of items were stolen.

The theft happened some time between 7:30pm last night (7 June) and early this morning.

Items taken from the vehicle were;

– Cash that didn’t belong to owner

– The owners bank card (which was then used in Tesco’s and Coop, with £130 having been spent)

– A child’s tablet

Obviously the owner is devastated, especially given that the tablet belongs to their child, who is autistic.

The vehicle itself was parked in Firtree Way in close proximity of the Boxing Gym (which is on North East Road). It’s a fair assumption, therefore, that the thief will have travelled along North East Road in one direction or another before and after the event.

Did you see anything suspicious? Have you been offered a kids tablet? Have you perhaps got a recording device that could be checked to see if it captured the person or persons responsible?

Any information would be most welcome; you can either pass it directly to the police, or contact us and we will relay the information for you.
