Attempted Dog Theft

We’ve had a report of an attempted dog theft that took place yesterday evening.  This happened at the top end of Thornhill.

We don’t have much detail to go on at the moment, but will add the information to the story as and when we receive it. 

We’ve included some tips below to keep your furry loved ones safe. Please be mindful that if they’ve been unsuccessful, it means they are likely to try and find another target.  

– Keep your dog in view in the garden, don’t just leave him/her outside unsupervised. 

– Front gardens are particularly vulnerable to dog thieves.

– Make sure your garden is secure to keep your dog in and lock any gates. Fit a bell to the gate so you hear if anyone opens it.

– CCTV may help to deter thieves
