Arrest after police witness cocaine deal

Police have arrested a 29 year old male from Southampton on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug.

Officers were on patrol yesterday, 12 April, on Sayers Road in Eastleigh. They suspected they’d witnessed a drug deal take place and this led to them stopping a Vauxhall Insignia at around 12:30pm.

The police carried out a search of the driver, and the vehicle, and found a quantity of suspected class A drugs (Cocaine). A quantity of cash was also found.  

A subsequent search of an address in the Southampton area revealed further quantities of drugs and cash; all of which was seized.

The 29 year old remains in custody at this time.
