Appeal for Information in Lymington Shoplifting Incident

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred in Lymington on Tuesday, 26 September, 2023, at approximately 2:15pm.

The incident took place at “Between The Lines” on High Street when a man entered the store and concealed a pair of glasses within the sleeve of his jacket. Instead of making any attempt to pay for the glasses, the individual purchased a greetings card and exited the store.

The man is described as follows:

Appearance: He is of white ethnicity and sports a long beard.
Age: Approximately 50 years old.
Build: Slim with broad shoulders
Height: 6 feet tall
Tattoos: Notably, he has tattoos on his hands and neck, including witch symbols and a phrase on his knuckles.
Clothing: He was seen wearing a navy jacket, boots, jeans, and carrying a green shoulder bag.

The police believe that the man captured in the image can provide valuable information to aid in their investigation. They urge the individual in question to come forward and cooperate. Additionally, anyone with information about the incident, those who witnessed suspicious activity in the area on that day, or those who possess relevant CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam, or doorbell camera footage are encouraged to contact the police.
