WATCH: Fire started on Netley Common

Fire on Netley Common.

This evening, the Fire Brigade have been called out to Netley Common to put out a large fire.

A witness spotted two kids leaving the scene on bikes laughing about their antics. We hope for their sake that no one gets injured as a result of their actions.  

The smoke from the fire can be seen as far as Bursledon Road, which along with the pictures reflects how big the fire is.

Due its location, the Fire Brigade were not able to get their trucks close enough so a Land Rover was called in to help. 

The fire is currently still ongoing, so we would advise to steer clear of the area.
