Two arrested on discovery of cannabis factory

Two men appeared in Southampton Magistrates Court earlier today having been charged with producing a controlled Class B drug.

Their appearance in court followed arrests that were made over the weekend. Police had witnessed suspicious activity in the Alfred Street area of SO14 and subsequently located a cannabis factory.

Elidjon Dedak (24) and Kujtim Qungeli (37), both of no fixed abode were both charged with the same offence.

The men were remanded and will appear at Crown Court on 24 April.

Drug cultivation is something the police have been working hard to tackle of late so it’s good to see some success.
