SO18 assault – third teenager charged

On Saturday 18 December, a man was assaulted whilst in a convenience store. The store is on Bitterne Road West and the incident happened around 3pm.

Subsequent to the assault, two teens were charged in December, with police providing the following information about them;

“A 16-year-old boy from Southampton was charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 17-year-old boy from Southampton was charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage.”

Police have now confirmed that a third teen has now been charged. The charges mirror those of the 16 year old. The latest to be charged  has been bailed pending an appearance at West Hampshire Youth Court later this month.
