Man arrested for GBH with intent

Yesterday, whilst the Police were out on patrol in Millbrook (where the dispersal order has been put in place).  They removed 7 individuals from the area in the efforts to reduce anti-social behaviour.

They also arrested a 32 year old Southampton man, suspected of grievous bodily harm with intent, he currently remains in custody.  The man is believed to have been involved in an incident on 30 December 2021, where a man was shot in the face with a catapult.  This took place in Shirley Road, the victim was left blind in one eye.

The dispersal order remains in place until 3pm tomorrow (Saturday).  The main reason for an order such as this, is to become a deterrent to those who are looking to perform anti-social behaviour.  As always if you have any information that you feel will help the police, call 101 or approach those that are on patrol.
