Community and Police combine to recover stolen Range Rover

It gets to us each and every time we write a story about a stolen bicycle, motorbike, car, van, or anything for that matter. However, for as long as it’s happening locally, we will report on it.

We don’t like that our community, and those around us are being impacted this way. So, the more awareness, the more vigilant people may be.

Whilst it’s sadly not always the case, we do come across stories that have a happy ending; the ones where owners are reunited with their pride and joy. This is generally only made possible when people report things amiss, or suspicious.

An example of the positive impact individuals can have was shared by local police today. Thanks to the community coming forward, police were able to recover a stolen, high end Range Rover. The vehicle had only been stolen in a commercial theft less than 24 hours before. Now though, investigations will continue in the hope of finding other vehicles. None of this would have been possible without that piece of information being shared.

Please continue to look out for each other, and keep things secure. We’ve written some hints and tips before about how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of theft; we’d really like to see a drop in numbers.

As always, report anything you see suspicious via 101, or drop us a message and we’ll be glad to pass information on for you.
