Police catch four motorbike thieves

Great work by the cops in Central Southampton today.

After a tip off about four male suspects looking to steal a motorbike, they went on the hunt.  The incident was alleged to have been taking place near Hannover Buildings.

On arrival, the police started searching and were able to locate the bike in question. Sure enough, it had been tampered with.

Not content with locating the motorbike, the Cops went in search of the suspects, who by then had fled the scene on foot. All four had split up, but that didn’t stop the police catching each and every one of them.

All four males were detained and it wasn’t long before back up arrived in the form of an armed response unit.

The four males were all arrested and taken into custody for questioning. Enquiries and investigations will continue. Importantly too, let’s hope the bike owner can now be reunited with their bike, and that the repairs aren’t too damaging on the pocket.

Great to see these success stories from our local police; they may have limited resources, but sharing stories like this gives at least a little hope.
