From Sharing, Comes Success. Well Done SOnews Community

One of the reasons we started SO19 Neighbourhood Watch was to do our bit to help the community. We’ve branched from that now with the launch of SOnews.uk, but our aim remains intact.

One of the things that was pretty alarming when we first created the page, was the number of vehicles that get stolen.

Every day we see posts all over social media, pleading for people to share their stolen items, and asking everyone to keep an eye out for them.

Initially, going back over two years now, we were quite skeptical about these posts, and questioned ourselves as to whether they actually make a difference.

In the last couple of weeks alone, the power of Facebook has helped 2 owners get their bikes back (those are just the ones we have been involved in). We’re also delighted that just today, a gentleman has been reunited with his Mercedes.

Sharing a story, a post, or a plea for help might seem pointless, but it really does have a huge impact.  The more our pages grow, the more eyes we can have looking out for the stolen vehicles, missing pets and community activities taking place.

To help with this, maybe give this post a share. Let’s get more people on board so we can continue to help reunite people with their stolen vehicles.

Here are the links to some of the stories that have had a happy ending these last couple of weeks, up to and including today;
