Stolen Bike – Can We Find The Owner?

“Another day, another theft” is a phrase we have used on our groups/pages a few times.  Well today, we have some positive news to bring you.

This morning we received an anonymous tip off from a local resident to Thruxton Court, that a bike had been stored in a suspicious place.  After a conversation with the gentleman, obtaining details of the bike, we were able to establish that the Black Lexmoto LXR 125 was in fact stolen.

There are many unsung heroes in Southampton, not least the biker group who go by the name of “Wolfpack” . They devote a lot of their free time riding around our areas on the look out for stolen bikes.  So once we had established the bike was stolen, we made sure they were aware of the location of the motorcycle.

Within a very short time, they had organised a recovery vehicle and collected the bike from the “stash spot”. It’s now been taken to a safe place and the police have been made aware too. Now it’s just a case of reuniting the bike with its owner.

Do you know anyone who has had a bike stolen recently? According to the police database it was stolen 2 January 2022. If you do know anyone, feel free to drop the page a message. The police have the details so will no doubt message the owner in due course.

Positively, the bike has minimal damage visually, although, unsurprisingly, the ignition has been removed.  This is likely to be someone’s pride and joy, so we are just relieved it will be returned to its rightful owner.
