Graffiti Taggers Running Rampant in the Hedge End, West End and Botley area

Reports of graffiti in the Hedge End, West End, and Botley area have been on the rise and local authorities are now seeking assistance to help identify the culprits responsible for the growing number of graffiti tags that have been appearing on various surfaces in the region.

The use of graffiti tags like ‘DMOE’ have been spotted from Southampton to Portsmouth, with the tags seemingly popping up everywhere, including street signs and bus stops.

While graffiti is deemed an act of criminal damage, local police urge those who spot any graffiti tags to report it to then immediately. Officials will then evaluate the area for CCTV footage and consider talking to nearby residents to identify individuals responsible for the act.

Meanwhile, property owners can reach out to local graffiti removal services and seek recommendations on how to prevent and remove graffiti tags. One of the recommended solutions is to consider setting up neighbourhood watch programs or surveillance cameras in the area to deter potential graffiti taggers from committing the crime.

It’s also vitally important for the public to report any acts of graffiti to the police so they can investigate and take appropriate actions against the culprits. If you encounter graffiti, you can report it via 101 or contacting Eastleigh Borough Council using this link https://orlo.uk/pB21X.
