Two new arrests made in connection with Mark Noke murder investigation

Police have made two new arrests in connection with the murder of Mark Noke, a 64 year old man who was found dead with a stab wound to his chest at his home on Warburton Road, Thornhill, on 25 February, 2023.

A 29 year old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on bail, while a 25 year old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of murder and subsequently released without charge.

Another woman, aged 27 and from Gosport, was arrested on 17 March on suspicion of assisting an offender and has also been released on bail.

Six other men, aged between 20 and 31, have previously been arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed as part of the ongoing investigation. A 39 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released on bail.

Police have seized a vehicle believed to have been used in the crime and are urging anyone with information to come forward. They are especially appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Leighton Tabone.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Howard Broadribb said: “We are continuing to explore all relevant lines of enquiry as part of our investigation into Mark’s death.”

He added: “If you have information, no matter how small or insignificant you believe it to be – report it to us. It could prove vital in aiding our investigation and getting justice for Mark’s family.”
