Five Arrested in Southampton Drug Operation

Five individuals were arrested during a proactive policing operation in Southampton, according to police reports. The operation took place on 11 March at 11:45am, when officers entered a flat in Howard Road and conducted a search of the property.

During the search, officers seized a number of suspected wraps of drugs, a large ball of an unknown substance, a significant amount of cash, and several mobile phones. Additionally, an empty ziplock bag was discovered in a toilet bowl.

As a result of the search, five individuals were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug. The arrested individuals include a 19 year old man, a 37 year old man, and a 40 year old woman, all from Southampton, as well as a 30 year old man from Chandler’s Ford. In addition, a 41 year old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug and child neglect.

All five individuals have been released on bail while further enquiries continue. The substances and phones seized during the operation will be subjected to further examination.

The police expressed their satisfaction with the operation, as it was designed to target drug dealing in the area. They thanked the public for their support and encouraged anyone with information regarding drug-related activity to come forward.
